Gaza: Ignored Accountability of Hamas Administration

There is an apparent hue & cries by some nations and the UN agencies of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Every other day Hamas department of health in Gaza issues notifications of increasing numbers of deaths due to Israeli bombing at their terrorist positions. However, there seems to be no other departments of administration in Gaza taking their onus of the woes. These days many consider UN/UNHRC as another wing of Hamas, crying every day for a ceasefire. However, none of them seem to be asking Hamas the two legitimate questions that started the war:-

• Why the Israeli civilians taken hostage are not being released unconditionally?
• Why are the culprits of 7th Oct heinous crimes not made to surrender ?

The UN, UNHRC, UNSC, UN Humanitarian aid are all concerned of only one aspect of the war that the ceasefire should be enforced at once; but none are even referring to bringing the demons in Hamas to the books. Why none of the so-called Palestinian civilians question or resist being used as shields for the Jihadists? What business do the women and children as well as so-called Palestine civilians have to continue staying in north Gaza when Israeli Defence Forces have issued warning to vacate? Why don’t the so-called Palestine civilians ask their Hamas home administration as to why they have brought devastation to them by committing the crimes of 7th Oct 23 and shielding the culprits? There are endless such questions but none seem to be ready to answer.

Any war is a curse on humanity BUT Islam possibly has no humanity. Most of the Islamic nations are busy fighting jihadi wars in different forms. Several Islamic nations are party to the growing radicalism, extremism and jihadi terrorism on their own or the foreign territories. There are over 175-odd terrorist tanzeems in world many of which are proscribed by different nations and international agencies incl the UN. It is worthy noting the most if not all those tanzeems bear allegiance to Quran for their acts of terror. Their acts of terrors are against all humanity BUT primarily the non-Muslims whom they discriminate as kaffirs. They fight against Muslims as well who don’t fall in line with their dictat. However, till now none in the UN, UNHRC or the UNSC has questioned Islam as to what in Quran induces them to terrorism (read “Quran incompatible for secular ethos: lessons from Hamas”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/quran-incompatible-for-secular-ethos-lessons-from-hamas/). Today, international communities and the UN seems to have forgotten the plights of the hostages and all are talking only of providing all UN aids and enforce ceasefire. Very few may remember that all those Hamas Jihadists who committed crimes on 7thOct 23 in Israel, were mostly fed by UN food & aids. The 7th Oct acts of jihadists has made Israeli govt fully determined that they need to destroy Hamas so that they don’t dare to repeat such acts in future again. Israel has the obligation to defend and respond to the inhuman acts of Hamas. Why is the UN, UNHRC and UNSC shying away from their obligations to diligently redress the ills by Hamas. There can be no justification whatsoever to justify their acts that UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres was trying to do when he had uttered the words “such acts do not happen in vacuum” (read “Antonio Guterres must resign” https://thecounterviews.in/articles/antonio-guterres-the-worst-unsg-must-resign/). He has failed to convene a single UNSC/UNGA session where ‘a just action’ could have been taken for resolution.

The need of the hour in the initial days was to compel Hamas administration of Gaza to return all civilian Israeli hostages and bring the jihadi culprits to the book but Guterres and the UN at large failed to bring any such resolution that could have applied balm on Israeli wounds. Talk of 2-nation theory and other options could have been brought later. All nations are trying to condone Hamas actions of 7th Oct 23 which cannot be. Yes, it is unfortunate that some innocent civilians of Gaza are bearing the brunt BUT who are they? Are they really innocent civilians? Well, there will be some. From the plain and simple logic in the above article, it becomes clear that leaving few exceptions, most if not all Palestinians of Gaza are the cadres of Hamas…whether hardcore jihadi terrorists who committed the 7th Oct crime, their foot soldiers working for them or those in civil administration supporting both civilians & Jihadists. There is hardly any difference in the acts & approach of jihadists of the United Jihad Council of Gaza from those of Hamas. Mullahs in Gaza brainwash the civilians incl women & children to standby their jihadi folks to become shields for the cause of Islam even if they have to lay down their lives. It is a sad fact that except toddlers, almost entire population in Gaza is instruments of Jihad.

If the UN really wants to bring any lasting ceasefire in Gaza, they must redress the two questions asked in the first paragraph above. In the on-going conflict, Hamas is direct stakeholder and they must be held accountable for the deaths and devastations in Gaza. If their health department expects to be heard of the mounting casualties, their home department too must answer as to why they are holding the Israeli Civilians as hostage wherever they may be. The home administration department of Hamas must also commit to hand-over all culprits of the Oct 7th attack to bring them before Israeli laws. It also defies all logic as to why the innocent civilians of Gaza should not have mounted pressure on their Hamas administration to defuse the crisis and prevent suffering of the civilians. Afterall, Hamas has the direct accountability of the welfare and safety of the innocent civilians of Gaza, if there are any.
