After an alliance of 26-odd opposition political parties most of whom are considered Chors and Thugs were named I.N.D.I.A in 2023, the honest and self-esteemed people of the nation feel embarrassed to be called Indian (read “I.N.D.I.A of Thugs” Parts 1, 2, 3”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/i-n-d-i-a-of-thugs-part-1/). Worse, even Supreme Court of India turned down the objection filed of the newly adopted name by Congress-led opposition. Thereafter, the term “INDIAN” has become a taboo for the nationalists. It is under this perspective that Modi-led Union Govt is shying away from being called ‘Indian’ and thus preferring the alternative “…that is called Bharat”, finding better acceptance. In the recent times when the name of India is being tarnished both within and abroad by the Thugs of INDIA, there is a feeling of suffocation among the common citizen from the tabooed name as well as their tabooed deeds. Worse, in the false satisfactions of being called a vibrant democracy, Modi Govt has been rather over-tolerant in letting those Thugs taint the Indian prestige. However, something very strange is happening in the world’s oldest democracy, the USA; some of which could be adopted by India too…BUT…Is the govt vigilant?
Are New Opportunities Being Missed Out?
There is a proverb “Opportunities come once in a long while but missed out in fraction of moments”. Modi and his Govt somewhat seems to lack General & Global Awareness (GGA) of the unusual happenings in the vicinities as well as at the global level that could salvage some of the suffocations of the citizens. Let us talk of the latter first. The Global environment and politics are changing at an unprecedented pace, thanks essentially to US President Donald Trump who has assumed the charges at the US White House for the second time with renewed vigour. He has taken some game-changer political decisions to make USA great again. If similar approaches could be adopted by Modi Govt in the interest of the nation, many ills can be prevented or arrested rather easily…BUT…they appear aloof.
Lack of Awareness on Global happenings
Opportunities created by the new US Administration that could become a milestone for other countries too, are considered once in lifetime. Major among such global opportunities include the followings:-
- Tolerate no nonsense.
- Throw out the illegal migrants.
- Clamp-down on unfavourable Trade practices
- ‘Nation First’ policies overriding any other concerns
- Treatment of the Diseases Corroding Nation.
Lack of Awareness in the Vicinities
Modi Govt will never be excused if the history finds it indifferent to the fast-changing and remarkable geopolitical happenings in own vicinities. While most of the international communities consider Gaza-West Bank and Donbas of Ukraine as occupied territories, seldom anyone talks of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). While world bodies consider attacks on Gaza as Genocide, culprits of recent Genocides of Sikhs & Hindus by Taliban in Afghanistan as well as of non-Muslims in Pakistan & Bangladesh among some others have gone unnoticed. Tolerating too many nonsenses?
India that is Bharat is Secular because its Hindu majority tolerates too many nonsenses. Often it becomes a matter of shame to acknowledge that Hindu’s unending tolerance often amounts to their cowardness. The day Hindus of India acquires minority status, it will no longer remain secular and there are numerous examples for it. India is the only nation in the world where citizens of majority religions are subjected to atrocities and genocides often assisted by neighbouring radical Islamic states of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. A faulty fundamental right adopted in the constitution is fast changing the religious demography at various levels in many states. Hindus, the native community is often made to flee from own land when they become minority with fast changing religious demography. Anti-India forces both within the nation as well as on the international platforms will always wish that India remains under the shackles of pseudo-secularism and flawed democracy…BUT…it is unto India to break those shackles. Tackling Illegal Migration in USA and India
Although people all over the world dream to cross over to US territories for varied reasons, by hook or crook, legally or illegally, many are unable to find refuge and end-up as illegal migrants. The broad reasons for migration included better life prospects, fear of political persecutions in own nations among some others. Although Trump was strict against the Islamists seeking refuge in his 1st term, Biden administration slackened that hold. On the contrary, both Biden and Kamala Harris encouraged it publicly. This resulted in approx. 12 million illegal migrants into the USA that made numerous many roads & lanes look like slums. They even illegally occupied many of the vacant public and private dwellings that became a major election issue, leading to the downfall of the Democrats. It also started creating a law & order problems for the US police who were discouraged by the Biden administration from taking strict actions. Lot many Islamists could infiltrate who started behaving as mobs during Palestinian protests. Major infiltration routes for the illegal migrants included both thru’ Mexican and Canadian borders. US Administration must also accept that there is a DeepState within the state who encourage, shelter and also provide legal protections to such illegal, anti-US migrants in the name of democracy, many having criminal backgrounds. President Donald Trump is the first US Prez who has shown resolve to expose the nexus and even gone ahead to review their legitimacies. These apply mostly to the nationals of Cuba, Nicaragua, Haiti and Venezuela who were allowed to fly directly to the US after applying from abroad during Biden’s era. It is deplorable how blatantly the DeepState system has started providing legal hurdles in their deportations even before Trump assumed the office on 21 Jan 2025.
India too has been facing the large influx of illegal migrants right since independence following religious persecution of the non-Muslims of Indian origin in both East and West Pakistan. Pakistani Armed Forces as well as radical Islamic groups increased their religious repression more so in the late 1940s and 60s. Hence, large numbers of non-Muslims have been fleeing to India. Most of the illegal slums in almost all Indian cities constitute of illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya Muslims who are being protected by the DeepState of Indian Islamists & Leftists. It is expected that the numbers of such people in India range anything from 4 to 5 Cr even though India is not a signatory to the UN Refugee Convention or Protocol. They are burden on the limited Indian territories, resources & economy as well as they pose national security risks, also turning increasing parts of the nations look like slums…something USA has been experiencing mostly in the last four years. There are reports that the illegal migrants are proliferating at rapid rate and many unscrupulous elements are taking shelter among them. They often become a security threat for the nation. Yet, the DeepState echo systems consisting mostly of Muslim & Communist bodies as well as ‘Muslim Vote-Bank’ political parties have created repeated hurdles against efforts of the Modi Govt to deport them. Here, there is a distinct difference between the approach of Trump and Modi Govts wherein Trump has shown resolve to take on the DeepState head-on whereas Modi Govt could not. All nationalists strongly feel that the illegal migrants must be thrown out of the nation without the govt getting embroiled in the legal procedures.
As far as judiciary becoming a hurdle in deporting the illegal migrants is concerned, Trump-2 administration has not hesitated in hoodwinking the concerned judges many of whom are believed to have been employed as part of Biden administration’s “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) program. It is mostly them who are creating legal hurdles in deporting. Indian govt on the other hand, is obliged to follow what Supreme Court directs even if those are inconvenient.
Clamp-Down on Illegal Trade Practices
India has been a responsible WTO member since 1995 and member of GATT since 1948 observing the international laws on trade practices in letter and spirit. It doesn’t indulge in any unilateral unfair trade practices often indulged by many nations. It was another matter though that it had a very little share of exports in the world market till about 2015. The situation is changing now. Having taken a resolve of transforming into Developed nation by 2047, India is rapidly advancing towards “Atm-nirbhar Bharat” that will have a significant export potentials (read “Viksit Bharat: What it means?”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/viksit-bharat-developped-india-2047/). In the last 10 year itself, manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals, Mobile Phones, Automobiles, Solar panels, Railways, millets, Textiles & Garments, Iron & Steel, Gems & Jewelleries and Defence Equipment have shown a rapid growth. Start-ups Technologies have grown into many Unicorns. Soon Lithium battery and Semiconductor industries will transform India into a major global hub. Hence, the nation will have to learn the art of dictating in world trades in a similar ways that USA is doing now.
There are many nations against whom India has a negative trade balance yet, doesn’t retaliate. Even after Galwan incident, Govt of India couldn’t impose import ban against China citing WTO/GATT although many of the private firms did so. Here comes a lesson from Trump-2 Administration wherein he didn’t even hesitate in signing punitive taxes against defaulting nations who disregarded their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) or had substantial negative balance of trades, throwing all rules & regulations into the winds. A new trade-war has erupted among the major economies of the world yet WTO or GATT are silent. Hence, there is no reason for India to remain silent esp against those unfriendly nations with whom it has significant negative trade balances. Of course, there may be a need to do a bit of balancing acts specific to different blocks of nations. EU apprehending major punitive taxes by USA, is seeking a new trade agreement with India. Britain is also trying to line up behind India and so are some of the global south. It may be time for Modi Govt to implement its ‘India First’ policies in trade practices too which will also propel its “Viksit Bharat” ambitions positively.
International Criticism of ‘Nation First’ Approach
India that is Bharat, had continued marching with strong shackles of inhibitions locked on to its feet for several decades since independence and some are even continuing today in one or the other forms. These shackles were outcome of the lack of means for adequate growth of the nation in the post-independent era. India lacked a patriotic visionary head of State who could have claimed ‘nation first’ right after the partition but that was not to be. It adopted pseudo-secularism, a flawed democracy, a judiciary that had a disconnect from the citizen and an executive that was marred in corruptions (read “India: A Flawed Democracy”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/india-and-its-flawed-democracy/). The net result of all these is before us that even nearing eight decades of independence, the citizen are still struggling with poverty, lack of livelihood, an ever increasing divisiveness in the society and above all, lack of self-esteem of being an Indian. It is other matter though that 11 yrs of Modi govt has uplifted a large section of its people wherein >27 Cr have come out of poverty; the nation itself has transformed from fragile five to the 5th major economy in the world and soon will be the 3rd major economy.
Today, if any nation deserves to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council (UNSC), it is India, the nation having World’s largest population as well as world’s largest democracy. It is also true that this nation has suffered the worst kinds of atrocities on its native citizen by the cruel invaders right since medieval times. This is the only nation in the world that has suffered numerous many partitions, over several centuries; and is standing on the threshold of another one. This is the only nation in the world where the majority population is taken for granted and subjected to atrocities by the minorities. It is shameful.
Hindus have no State religion of its own that could provide them with some added security. While 32% of world population could have 16 Christian-States, 23% have 47 Islamic nations, 6% have 4 Buddhists States, 0.6% have 1 Jew State, why ~18% of Hindus should not have one Hindu nation of their own? The UN/UNSC/UNHRC should feel honoured if India, that is Bharat, declares itself as a Hindu or Indian-Religion State in which other alien faiths could find similar affiliations as Hindus find in other States of different religions. This alone will remove the fears from the minds of Hindus that amidst their shrinking religious demography, there will be a nation where they could live fearlessly.
There is one more of priority task for India, that is Bharat. In the name of pseudo-secularism, freedom of speech, and democratic rights, any Tom, Dick or Harry is able to abuse the National dignity. All such people must be tried for treachery. This is the only nation in the world where the religious majority, the original natives, are made to feel a second-grade citizen. The Constitution of India has given freedom of religion BUT has not given the freedom to any group to change the religious demography of the nation at the national, provincial, District or the Sub-Divisional levels. This must be protected as one of the fundamental rights of the ‘religion of the State’.
Treatment of Cancer Corroding the Nation
India is probably the only nation in the world where political groups take pride in dividing the people on various fault-lines like religions/faiths, caste, languages, ethnicities and so on. This is one of the very few nations in the world that have States within a State. Christians and their missionaries to some extent are ruled from Rome. After the British rulers left, a vast stretch of lands and their assets are held by the churches without constitutional authorities. Similarly, Muslims affiliate themselves with an alien ideology that was founded elsewhere. Actually, the Hindu, Sikh and Christian migrants from Pakistan should have been the legitimate occupant of such lands but Nehru forfeited it for his ‘vote-bank’ greed that has become a cancer disease by now. The treatment for political cancer is political; by taking firm steps in honouring the original citizens of India…like what USA is doing now.
The Bottom-Lines
The New India that is Bharat, is at the threshold of breaking its shackles of past taboos. The present Indian Govt must use some rare opportunities being created by the Global Forces like USA to get rid of their own problems. India’s worst challenges are the growing economic burdens owing to the huge numbers of illegal migrants creating pressure on its limited resources. In addition, they are also becoming law & order problems amidst religious radicalism preached & practiced in neighbourhoods. India will also have to learn firmness in Trade practices as it is rapidly transforming towards a global manufacturing hub. The present Indian govt must become proactive in addressing some of its chronic challenges just like the new US Administration is dealing with it. If this opportunity is lost, history will not excuse Modi govt whatever best they might have done for the citizen.
