The above are only the tip of an iceberg called Jihadi atrocities being committed against other religions/faiths; or other Sects of Islam itself in the various parts of the world. Some of the above are the massive acts of genocides in the recent years and decades to which the world communities are either largely silent or manage to render only lip services of double-speak, to maintain own relevance. In fact, in the last few decades, there have been massive spurts in jihadi violence in various parts of world, out of which, some of the major ones being enumerated in a report published a couple of years back (read “Major Jihadi attacks in the world”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/major-islamic-jihadi-attacks-in-the-world/).
Recent Spurts in Jihadi Violence
After the formation of the ISIS in Iraq by Al-Baghdadi and calling for formation of Global Islamic Caliphate in 2014, there has been a spurt in the Jihadi-terror all over the world especially against the religious minorities, who find themselves helpless against the highly hateful, radicalized and armed Islamic Jihad. It doesn’t mean that Jihadists terror was not being committed earlier. India and Israel have long been facing state sponsored jihadi terrorism by Pakistan and Palestine respectively, but the pseudo-secular nations of the world feigned their ignorance and indifference till USA itself faced 9/11 attack. Author also acknowledges that there has also been many retaliatory violence against the Jihadists on the anticipated lines BUT that doesn’t take away the culpability of the original acts of crimes by the Islamists.
Israel is the sole nation in the world that has made their intentions clear to wipe out ‘Hamas’ jihadists from the territory from where they had mounted a very shameful, inhuman attack on the unsuspecting civilians of Israel on 7th Oct 2023. This attack was largely driven by centuries of religious Islamic hate against non-Muslims enshrined in Quran. There were surely some initial words of condemnation by many non-Islamic countries BUT none except USA and UK came forward to assist Israel in their struggle against the jihadists. These two nations were the only to deploy their soldiers and military assets alongside the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) in their fight against Hamas. It is another matter though that after 7th Oct 23 jihadi attack by Hamas, several other jihadi attacks have taken place elsewhere in the world BUT no nation showed their resolve to take the bulls by its horns. The result is before us. Jihadi attacks continue unabated, and humanity suffers in their hands. The Pseudo secular nations like India have not even declared Hamas as terrorist organization owing to the compulsions of their own ‘Muslim vote-bank politics”.
Today, most if not all non-Muslims religions/faiths are the target of jihadi violence. Just a decade back, the world was reluctant to call such raging group violence caused by Islamists even though ~90% of it were committed by various jihadist groups. Thanks to the US Presidential Candidate Donald Trump in 2015 that he called it being indulged by ‘Radical Islam’. Although many Islamic nations were unhappy with it but that was the reality of majority of group violence and remains so even today. Hindus have suffered the most with Islamic jihad right since medieval times. Christians were the next who were compelled to undertake Crusade although there were other reasons too. Just 3 yrs back, Taliban has indulged in complete genocide of Sikhs and Hindus in Afghanistan and the world communities remained mum. Just a year back, three African tribes have undergone complete genocide in the hands of jihadists in Sudan. In the latest such instance, the jihadists of Bangladesh have started rampant jihadi activities against the non-Muslims since August 2024. Trends in Jihadi Violence
The modus operandii of jihadists are very different from any other criminals. Their acts are largely guided by Quran that teaches hate, intolerance, bigotry and fascism especially against non-Muslims (read “Islamic hate, intolerance, bigotry and fascism”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/islamic-intolerance-bigotry-fascism-global-caliphate/). Jihadists invariably indulge in such violence in geographical areas where percentage of Muslims is higher in a community esp in the non-Islamic nations (read “Muslim behaviour in non-Islamic nations”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/muslim-behaviour-in-non-islamic-nations/). It is so strange that the world body as well as all jihad-affected nations are reluctant to ban Quran even when it violates their fundamental rights (read “Gross Fundamental Rights Violations by Many verses of Quran”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/gross-fundamental-rights-violations-in-many-verses-of-quran/). Since non-Muslims are not united, each non-Islamic nation affected by Islamic jihad is left to fend for themselves against Islamic fascism (read “New Islamo-Fascism in the World”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/islamo-fascism-paris-jihadi-attack-macron-pakistan-turkey-malaysia-mahathir-muslims-islam-radical/). All affected nations unable to unite together, are trying piecemeal solutions which is highly inadequate to meet the collective challenges posed by some 200-odd jihadi organisations in the world spread in almost all continents of the world. The writing on the wall for the non-Muslims of the world is getting more and more distinct and bold…”Unite or Perish”.
The difficulties that Israel is going through, is making it very clear that despite a great danger posed by world Islam, every non-Islamic nation has to shape its own destiny against intolerant and fascist Islam. While most of the 200-odd Jihadi organisations are either founded, funded or supported by all 47 Islamic nations, no two nations, two non-Islamic communities/faiths have been able to unite together till now and Islamists are taking full advantage of it. In the present times, they are able to create ample fear among non-Islamic communities the world over; be it Russia, Kosovo, France, England, Ireland, Bangladesh, India, Malaysia and many of the African nations like Nigeria, Sudan, Congo, CAR and several others. With regard to the Islamic radicalism, extremism and terrorism preached and practiced among the jihadi groups, there has not been even a single whitepaper published, or a core group created by international organisations like the UN/UNHRC to know the international character, their funding and atrocities carried out by the Islamic Jihad. The jihadi ideologies are based in Quran, its preaching is done by the radical Mullahs and imams and worst, the jihadi groups are funding by all Muslims of the world thru’ redistribution of jazya donated by them. Of course, there are other means of State funding too. Whenever any action is taken against Islamists, most Muslim groups & nations stand united behind them…be it Israeli actions against Hamas, Charlie Hebdo case and actions against killing of their teacher by Muslim student, Quran burning in Denmark and Sweden and so on. It is very difficult for any single group to counter the Islamists who are invariably linked or united to fight against non-Muslims, often having State sponsoring. Hence, all non-Muslims must unite together to take on the jihadist bull by horn.
Non-Muslims Unable to Unite against Jihadists
The biggest hurdle in non-Muslims uniting together is their secular, democratic and human behaviours. It is becoming increasingly clear that most of the so-called secular and democratic nations are actually “Pseudo-Secular” and undemocratic with “Vote-Bank” politics. Muslims more-often vote on ideological basis as decided by their leaders or clerics by issuing ‘Fatwas”. This often results in the Muslims voting en-masse with much fewer exceptions while non-Muslims are often divided. Muslims in non-Muslim nations act as “Vote-bank” and are able to pressurize their polity to meet their community demands and group safety. Thus, even if committing Islamic extremism & terrorism, those nations are unable to enact any firm law that could displease the Muslim vote-bank. The outcome is catastrophic.
Muslims are dramatically changing the religious demography of the non-Muslim nations like India, Britain, France, Germany, African nations and several others. Despite knowing that Quran is hateful, they cannot get it edited or banned. White British Christians are knowing that mainly Pakistani Muslims are raping their girls/women in the name of grooming, they cannot take strong action (read “What prevents Britain investigate the numerous rapes by Grooming Gangs”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/what-prevents-britain-investigate-numerous-adolescent-girls-raped-by-grooming-gangs/). India knows their Muslims are working towards making India an Islamic nations thru’ Gazwa-e-Hind, they are unable to adopt any strong measure. The worst is that the UN/UNSC/UNHRC is unable to prevent Islamic genocide and jihad. So how do these secular and democratic nations dispel Islamic Jihad corroding them like cancer. There is only one nation in the world that has prevented any ill effects of Islam in their territories and that is China. In order to ward off Islamic cancer corroding such nations, there is a need to either take strong measure against radical Islam like what China has done (read “World must adopt the Chinese Model of Islam”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/world-must-adopt-chinese-model-of-islam/) or all non-Muslims must unite together to fight the challenges posed by radical Islam. There is another way too. The non-Muslims have been made a second-grade citizen in Islamic nations that have compelled many of them to convert, flee or die in the hands of Jihadists. If a similar approach is adopted by non-Muslim nations to declare themselves as Christian/Hindus/Buddhist State and make Muslims a second-grade citizen similar to what Islamic nations have done, the jihadi threat will gradually ward off.
The Bottom lines
Hate, intolerance and violence of Jihad is the curse of Quran on humanity. There are >180 jihadi organisations engaged in violence spread over all continents of the world. The middle east and adjoining nations have been marred in jihadi violence for decades. It is unfortunate that many of the Islamic nations not only fund and support them but also unite to stand behind them following their crimes. Today only Israel has shown guts to take on the jihadists and China has a state policy that discourage jihad. It is high time that non-Muslim nations unite together to instill fear in the minds of jihadists that if 7th Oct 23 like misadventures are committed, they will have to bear the brunt collectively. These nations will also have to shun the pseudo-secularism that somehow encourage jihadists. On the international platform, UN/UNHRC must modify their policies in which humanity should be protected and supported and jihadists if defiant, may be permitted to be culled or killed. There is also a need to turn non-Muslim nations into ‘majority religion States’ and Muslims of those nations be accorded the same treatment what non-Muslims get in Islamic nations. This will discourage them from carrying out genocides of non-Muslims in own states.
